Michael Gambon can currently be seen in BBC1's new adaptation of Emma, as Emma Woodhouse's neurotic but kindly dad. A lovely performance, as always. Perfectly cast. I do love his voice.

Re: Noticing HP Actors in Other Movies

i was watching the movie "sister act" a few months ago for the first time and the whole entire movie i couldn't stop thinking "oh my gosh i think one of the nuns are professor mcgonagall!" and so i wouldnt let my sister turn off the movie cuz i needed to watch to credits to see if it was maggie smith cuz it was driving me crazy the whole entire movie and sure enough, she was one of the nuns
i also watched disney's enchanted which had wormtail in it (i think the actor's name is timothy spall but not positive...) and i watched the tale of desperaux cuz emma watson (hermione) and robbie coltrane (hagrid) were two of the voices

Alan Rickman is Antoine Richis in Perfume: the story of a murderer. It's strange to see Snape in 18th century clothes...

Lupin is in that weird movie with Leonardo Di Caprio where both of them are writers and have an affair. He looks awful.
I recently watched 2 movies with the actor that plays Wormtail.

I saw this movie becuase Rickman was in it. Very odd movie, but very good at the same time. When I first saw him, I was like "Oh there's Snape," but as the movie went on, this feeling faded quickly.

I don't know how this is going to work with Dan...I think he is going to fall into the Mark Hamill/Luke Skywalker thing where people won't be able to get over him being Harry. I hope not...

Re: Noticing HP Actors in Other Movies

I definitely recommend The Boat That Rocked to all of you, it's a wonderful and funny comedy, features a LOT of great music from the Sixties and three HP actors:

Kenneth Branagh (Professor Lockhart in COS)
Bill Nighy (Rufus Scrimgeour in DH)
Rhys Ifans (Xenophilius Lovegood in DH)
EDIT: And I almost forgot, Emma Thompson (Professor Trelawney) makes a cameo appearance as well!

Re: Noticing HP Actors in Other Movies

I am always happy to see HP-actors in other movies. I don't know why but it's like having some kind of connection to them.
I remember seeing some HP-actors in other movies but I forgot where excactly.
But Sweeney Todd and Alice in Wonderland (2010) are good examples.

Sweeney Todd :
Alan Rickman (Snape) as Judge Turpin
Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix) as Mrs Lovett
Timothy Spall (Wormtail) as Beadle

Alice in Wonderland :
Alan Rickman as Caterpillar
Helena Bonham Carter as Red Queen
Timothy Spall as the Bloodhound

Tim Burton seems to like those three. :]

Mark Hamill is still working! He has focused more on the voice acting carreer but he still has his fame, and he has the admiration of the cartoon fans, such as Fire Lord Ozai in Avatar: Last Airbender, The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, A character in KND, guest participation in a Spongebob Squarepants and Danny Phantom episodes, Jigen Daisuke in the Streamline dub of "The Castle Of Cagliostro" and also, he worked in some Hayao Miyazaki dubs for Disney
