It isn't the way you would imagine it though. He works out more than you would think and wears all that black to downplay his Apollonian physique.

In HBP particularly, I was very dissapointed by the little development of Dumbledore's death scene. In my opinion, it is one of the most important scenes in the whole series, and the dialogue between Severus and Dumbledore is crucial. Dumbledore's repeated beg "please Severus" was the line that had me convinced that Severus was on the Order's side (not that I ever doubted my dear Head of House ). I relished the scene in the book, re read it many times and pictured every facial expression, every tiny detail. But I didn't feel the same when I watched the scene in the movie, it was over way too fast and much was left out.

Re: What did you miss most that they cut from the movie?

I definitely wanted to see Christmas at The Closed Ward.

PS- Peeves.
CS- More Diary Suspense and The Memory could of been better imo. oh and more moaning myrtle and lockhart.
POA- Marauder's Story
GOF- The Dursley Scene at the beginning (Weasleys coming to get Harry), Quidditch World Cup (including the walk to get water and stan shunpikes outburst with the veela), Ludo Bagman and his Bet with the Twins, Scores in the tasks, More obstacles in the maze. ie Sphinx, Giving his Triwizard Winnings to the Twins. Basically Everything in the book.
OOTP- Christmas at the closed ward, A bit more detail about the whole Umbridge thing, more DA, Better Department of mysteries, Harry Trashing Dumbledores Office at the end.
HBP- The Dursleys, Memories, More Obsession with Draco, More Luna at Slughorns Christmas Party, More Ron/Lav scences. MORE Ginny/ Harry Scenes and a Better Kiss. Battle At the End and Dumbledores Funeral. & Harry and Ginnys Break up.

I think I got everything there :/

I wouldn't mind if the films were 6/7 hours long

Re: What did you miss most that they cut from the movie?

There has been so much that they cut from the movies that I wasnt too happy about, especially in OOTP and HBP.

POA- The entire story of how Lupin became a werewolf, how the rest of the Marauders became Animagi, of the "prank" they pulled on Snape, how Sirius escaped from Azkaban and found out where Wormtail was and started living in the grounds, and how James' and Lily's deaths really happened. The movie skipped about 2 chapters worth of stuff just in the Shrieking Shack scene. Oh, and Quidditch. And the conversation that Harry, Ron and Hermione hear about Sirius being Harry's godfather, etc.

GOF- The very beginning of the book when the Weasleys fetched Harry; Ludo Bagman; all the letters and conversations between Sirius and Harry; a lot of the obstacles in the maze; Voldemort's story in the graveyard.

OOTP- The conversation on the night Harry arrives at Grimmauld Place; Christmas on the Closed Ward; a lot of what happened with the DA; most of the detail of why Hagrid was away and their conversation w/ him when he gets back; Quidditch; the Quibbler article and the rebellion against Umbridge; OWLs and McGonagall going to St. Mungo's; most of the time it took them to decide if they were going to the Dept. of Mysteries, who was going, how they were getting there, Harry flipping out, etc; a huge part of what happened at the Dept. of Mysteries; Harry's emotions in Dumbledore's office and the entire conversation itself. That one scene was reallyyyy lacking.

HBP- the beginning when Dumbledore comes for Harry; SIRIUS' WILL; a lot of detail of the affect of Sirius' death on everyone; the extent of Harry's obsession with Malfoy; the deep conversations between Harry and Dumbledore; Scrimgeour; Harry giving Ron & Hermione the Felix and having a feeling that something bad would happen to the school while he was gone; a lot having to do with McLaggen & Lavender; detail on Ron's poisoning; the link between Katie's and Ron's accidents; basically the entire time after Harry and Dumbledore get back to Hogwarts- landing in Hogsmeade, seeing the Dark Mark, the details of the conversation between Dumbledore and Draco, THE BATTLE, Dumbledore's funeral, & Harry and Ginny breaking up.
There were a few things they added that I was stumped on. When the Death Eaters attack the Burrow for instance... that never happened in the book. And when Snape and Harry saw each other right before Dumbledore died, Snape did that "shhh" thing to Harry. I thought that was really weird and out of character, and I dont think that ever would have happened...

When Snape shushed Harry in the Astronomy Tower, that truly illustrated how no one can trust Snape. The "shush" was superior than Harry being immobilized in the book - a very rare thing when something from the movie is actually superior than the book.

Re: What did you miss most that they cut from the movie?

I really missed Harry's line in HBP: "There's no need to call me sir, Professor." One of the best lines in the series, and they didn't even put it in.

Another thing I missed was all the DADA lessons in HBP that were cut out. They couldn't show one scene from that? Because personally, I would have liked to have seen more Snape than was actually shown in the movie.

I also missed the epic battle that went on in the end of HBP between Harry and Snape. They had this whoe duel going on where Harry used Levicorpus on him and Snape got mad and attacked him, but they didn't show it. All they put in that was a horrible excuse for it, was Snape flicking his wand as Harry ran after him and knocking him over. How lame is that?

Yes, I missed that one too. That would have been really awesome to slip in.

HBP was the only movie without DADA lessons among all the others. So yes, it was a little disappointing not to see Snape more, and in the job "he really wished to get".

Yes I didn't realized that this was the first one without DADA lessons and I agree that it would be awesome to see Snape in the position that he really wanted to be.
