Mads Mikkelsen Cast as Grindelwald
This is very exciting news! It's like losing a knut and finding a galleon. Johnny Depp never really seemed like a very good Grindelwald, and it has been a while since he's been a good actor. Very cool that somebody of Mikkelsen's calibre is stepping into the role.
Also I realize that this forum is pretty much dead but just though I'd do my little part to keep it going

Re: Mads Mikkelsen Cast as Grindelwald
I also heard about this one. I like Mikkelsen, so I certainly don't have any issue with this casting (although I didn't really have any issue with Depp, either, so that doesn't make any major difference for me). Having said that, between the pandemic, the poor showing of The Crimes of Grindelwald, and Rowling becoming controversial with the transgender comments, I'm wondering if the Fantastic Beasts series will survive to its planned ending.
