I voted USA because I live here, but I think Muggle_Magic has a point. If you live in an ethnic community, Vietnamese, Chinese, Greek, Egyptian, Ethiopian, whatever, very often it's just like living in the home country.

That pretty much reflects the proportion of US population among the total population who speak English as a first language.

Yes, we have to take the language issue into account. Even if non-native English speakers actually speak it quite good, they might not want to spend their time at an English forum, but prefer one in their language. So we'll keep having more members from English speaking countries.

Still I love that we have so many different points of origin included.

That's an option which needs to be instaled while creating the poll. If not done (like here) it unfortunately can't be changed back.

In this case I assume it was made on purpose though. Not all members want to give away where they coming from, even if it's more or less just by continents.
