I doubt there'll ever be a time when we don't need more staff, given that staff members do retire when they feel that they won't be able to spend as much time here- and as for how you become one, lanifiel answered that question a few pages back- I'll quote him.

lanifiel on the subject of how Aurors are chosen Aurors are chosen from the pool of members who have sufficiently put time into the site. These people are members who have Hogwarts Graduates or above and are in Hogsmeade. The Unspeakables and admins are the ones who choose new aurors from this pool.

So, to become an Auror you must be a Hogsmeade member and also be a Hogwarts Graduate? Just trying to clear this up, because I saw a comment somewhere saying that you only had to be a Hogsmeade member and it confused me .

One must be an Hogsmeade member. This was different some years back, though.

How often do you pick Unspeakables and Aurors?

It varies. Depends on when the admins feel more of them is needed. Which in turn partly depends on when old one's leave.

There will be new mods in future too, yep. Right this month we don't plan any new additions though although there are surely (and as always) people around who would do a great job a moderator.
