How do you clear your browser cache? I never did it before.

In IE, go to the Tools menu and then to Internet Options. You will find an option to clear cookies and files under the General tab.

In FF, go to Tools menu and then to Options. You will find an option to clear the cookies under the Privacy tab.

Stylemarillion is back up... I've played around with the main page background images a bit (the darker image)... I'm waiting for an excuse to get rid of it, however. So if its bothering anyone, or if your machine is slowing down because of it, just give me a shout and I'll be more than glad remove it.

I spotted two small inconveniences, one of which - the navigation links at the bottom of the page - is already on Ali's hit list. The other is that little clicky thing that takes us to our last post in a given thread? Will that be coming back at some point.

I noticed that some of the threads no longer have the link directly back to the thread itself...This one does, but some do not.

What I am talking about is the folderlike icon that will have the name of the thread next to it in the area that shows the navigation to that particular thread (i.e. this thread's shows the following: Chamber of Secrets > Entrance Hall >The Wizengamot Administration Services > Comments on New CoS Forums Features)

I wonder if that was an unintentional glitch...

Where can I approve to a request to join a group? Edit: Never mind this. Found it. But it's really hard to see.
Can you get rid of the bookmarks and tags thingy?
Edit 2: Can others see your friends list? When you don't approve a friend request, can that person see it?

You should see a link on the front page (Owlery). It's a drop down with all the appropriate links to the social time wastin- er, networking pages.

Yes, anyone can see your friends list.

I was wondering about this as well. They are slightly irrelevant for me, so I am curious if there is a way to turn them off.

I am also wondering why the default forum background is the "Deathly Hallows (UK)" one. Should it not be the "COSForums" one?

Everything else looks good (I am glad to see the navigation links at the bottom of the page are back up), though I probably will not use the majority of these new features. I am certain others will, though!

There seem to be lots of cool new thingies. Thanks everyone.

This will take a bit of figuring for me. I may be the only person on the planet who doesn't have a myspace or facebook page, but I don't know how all things things work. I have to figure out all this social network and groups and friends and stuff.

My new motto is: Each day I learn something new is a good day. Thanks to all the mods for setting up a whole bunch of good days ahead for me. (No sarcasm at all in that last sentence! )

Truly, thank you all for all the efforts to bring us new goodies. We do appreciate it.
