I mean that every time you change your avvie and siggie pic, you're like a whole new person to me, unless the screen name somehow manages to click in my brain. Which it rarely does.

Some people like to play with pics. I'm afraid they can't be blamed for that.

If you are active on the boards, remembering the names of regular poster will eventually come to you.

No, I think it's the same for everyone, who is new. I couldn't remember the members here either, for particular when they changed their signatures very often. But then I always did, too...

It's getting better by time. It's like Alastor said, it's coming very fast to remember the people, when you're becoming active yourself.

I hope I'm in the right thread with this question and apologies in advance if it's already been asked and answered. I'm just wondering what are the copyright rules associated with uploading pictures to use in a signature. I'm talking about pics downloaded from other places on the net, is it okay copright-wise to then upload them here for a signature?

I think most members automatically credit and maybe also have asked the owner of an image before using it. If unsure, better not use it, but you won't get a warning from CoS when you use a random image from internet since we simply can't check every single one of them if it's copyrighted.

Staff doesn't mind the usage of for instance HP movie images in signatures. Never got problems with WB for this since it seems to be fairly common on all boards.

If you're looking for Harry Potter images, there are many sites that offer them. I would suggest doing a google search. If you'd like to request a custom-made signature, please see the Graphics request thread or owl any of the artists who have posted in this thread: Custom Signature/ Avatar/ Wallpaper volunteer thread.
