Re: Tutorial: Signature Help
soo, I have uploaded my pic now, modified.
Actually I have a question, is it ok now? Because on my computer it shows me that it has 99,2 KB, then on photobucket suddenly it has 116123 bytes but here as a sig link it has 101657 bytes. How is this possible? *lost*

The size issue may have something to do with compression settings on your computer meaning your computer is compressing the file, but when you copy it out of the computer to photobucket it is transfering it in uncompressed format thus showing up on photobucket at 116123 bytes, not the compressed version of 101657 bytes. I hope that helps with the changing size issue.

Thanks kingwidgit, Sage, Ali and lupislune
![]() Well, I don't know why my computer is compressing things without my permission (grrrr) but however, I hope it's within the size limits now. Maybe that was also the problem with the initial file, because on my computer it had the allowed size but as the sig, it was a bit too big.

Re: Tutorial: Signature Help
okay, quick question (from someone who knows absolutely zero about computers): When I go to upload an image, it says that the following file extensions are allowed:.gif , .jpg , .png , .PNG , .JPG , .GIF , .jpeg. What does this mean? And if I have an image saved to a graphics program, how would I get it into my signature? Thanks.

Re: Tutorial: Signature Help
Me thinks you can find a lot of answers in post #1 of this thread.
When you have uploaded the image, look at the data box in Your Images. It tells you everything you need to know before inserting it into the signature.

Re: Tutorial: Signature Help
When I try to uplode a picture it says: "File extention is not alowed".
What does that mean? I've checked that the image is the right size. It's 98.5 KB, and 200*150 pixels. I've reread the tutorial, and I still don't know what to do. So would someone please help me? I know pretty much nothing about these sorts of things, so please explain simpley... |

Re: Tutorial: Signature Help
Just save it under another file-extension. I don't know what for your programme you use but usually it's "Save under" and then choose one of the extensions I mentioned above.

Re: Tutorial: Signature Help
Click the File menu tab, then Save As, under the document name there should be a drop down menu of file types.

Re: Tutorial: Signature Help
You need to copy the URL with the Image tag in your sig.
Go to "Magical Me" -> "Edit Signature" -> "Your images". There should be your pic you uploaded. On the right side is a "image link". Copy this one and go back to the page where you clicked on "your images". Under the link is a empty box. Past the copied code there and save the signature. This should do it. ![]()

Re: Tutorial: Signature Help
I really have no idea how I got this picture into my signature. Is the picture ok or do I need to change anything? I noticed when I scroll the mouse over it, it has a link. Is there a way that I can fix this?
